Hi Rob, welcome to our forum,

That is strange?

I have tested the module on a localhost setup and standard production servers, including sub-domain types and all seemed stable, but things can sneak up on a developer un-awares.

Could you describe the servers you tried the module on, I am thinking it may be a particular path problem that I am already aware of that may cause potential head-aches like this, I would greatly appreciate it? Also, could you tell me the version you have of the Module too?

Sorry took a while.

I use a Synology DS408 Web Station with the newest updates and mod_google_map_v3_improved 2.3.8 22 January 2010 Noxidsoft - Noel Dixon

I've tried it on another server and it works there.

What could be wrong in the setup of the Synology Disk Station or the script?

I'm having the same issue. The marker shows fine on when installed on my MacBook Pro, using MAMP, Joomla 1.5 with Google Maps API V3 Improved.

However, when I put it up on my test server (hosted with 1and1.com) PHP 5 the marker does not show up at all. I've tried several different install/uninstalls and chose different markers, all with no success.

On the same servers, using just Google Maps API V3, everything works fine.

Hmmm, I think I might have to remove the fancy icon marker options and go back to the generic pointers...

What do you think?

Problem is very simple.
In file geocoder.js find
"/modules/mod_google_map_v3_improved/images/yellow.png"

and just remove "/" before modules

example:
"modules/mod_google_map_v3_improved/images/yellow.png"

Hi Serbia,

Thanks for the reply, are you using version 2.4.0?
